Born and raised in Colorado, Anton James has always had a deep love for the American West, its vast skies, mountains, deserts, and forests. He feels a profound spiritual connection to its diversity and its people.
Anton is a student of religion, language, and history. He majored in international relations and political science at Lewis & Clark College and has studied seven languages, including Latin, Classical Greek, and Biblical Hebrew. He is also a classically trained pianist, a singer, and uses his background in music to create the unique mythology of the Singers in Crystal of Tears. He weaves his knowledge of ancient cultures and mythology into his fiction to contrast and illuminate modern-day political, social, and environmental issues.
Anton always travels to the locations he writes about to create an authentic experience for his readers; he has a passion for immersing himself in nature and foreign cultures.
Anton is a firm supporter of LGBTQ+ and women’s rights and environmentally progressive initiatives and technologies.
